On the way to work this morning, I was moving along pretty quick, trying to get around some traffic before making a southward turn. Was probably PSL +12 when I got a full strength blast of Ka 34.7. I downshifted and slid into traffic JUST in time to see a local sheriff deputy turn toward me from the other road.
He got in the turn lane and much to my panic, he turned around and followed me. He was about four cars back and proceeded to go south on that road with me for a full 4 miles, using I/O Ka the whole way, or so I thought. Passed another deputy headed north, and then at the end of that road, the one behind me pulled off and joined a THIRD deputy who was there shooting I/O 34.7 Ka pointing away from me. Might have been him I was picking up OR the guy behind me, though I suspect it was both.
I think he probably realized he had someone speeding, but didn't have time to figure out who. There was a bit of fog at the intersection, so that aided me, too. So a full 9 bars of strength at .3 miles. Not too shabby...thank GOD for fog.
Anyway, it was a good save of what would probably have been a $250 ticket.
