I believe the apparent performance difference between Ka-max and Ka standard are varied. Sometimes is more noticeable than other times. However, I would tend to always recommend that you run the Whistler's in Ka-max.

Why not benefit from the increased sensitivity, instead of weaning it?

True so very true, my Father always said it is better have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.........

With a bit of luck I should have it sometime this week, (XTR-690SE) ordered it on line from Costco.ca

Thanks again Veil Guy for being so helpful.

Don't mention it!

Looking forward to your feedback once you get some seat time with your new companion.

Default Well received my XTR-690SE

Haven't had time to use it much because (Looks better than my 1670) it is to cold for the suction cups to stay on the windshield.

I don't suppose there is a trick to to staying on in the cold is there ????

I guess radar isn't used in cold countries...........

It is -10 cels

Perhaps Mike B, of Whistler can offer some useful info...

He participates on this forum.
