Comcast appears to have finally resolved their broadband issue in our neighborhood. It appears that several modules affecting upstream communication were either faulty and in need of replacement and/or adjustment. They worked on the issues, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (with the big trucks). As of Sunday afternoon, the network is back up and has stayed up.
The whole Comcast CS system (and escalation process) is in need of an overhaul as it is designed for the masses and to the lowest common denominator. I almost quit the service because of the frustrating process.
Fortunately, I directly got hold of one the high-level service techs who had been out Saturday and I believe he helped coordinate a collective and thorough response on Sunday.
