Default Gotta Pay Attention

I was out speed trap hunting the other evening and ran across a local LEO sitting in the median running laser. I decided to turn around at the next exit and give him a buzz. In my excitement I missed the fact there was a moto cop sitting at the bottom of the entrance ramp. In trying to beat the oncoming traffic to have a clear run at the LEO in the median I had sped up to a speed that might have been difficult to explain. Luckily he was so focused on traffic coming down the interstate he was not watching the on ramp.

I got lucky and my LI's didn't have to save me this time.

C4,

This stuff is addicting isn't it?

It appears to me from that laser encounter that you actually picked some beam divergence/scatter from what I suspect was the white van that was being targeted, although I suppose he could have shot you directly through those vehicles, but it looks like a pretty tight shot, if not difficult.

Is that your take on this, as well?

Yes I am sure the ZR4 heads were picking up scatter from the van in front being targeted. MY LI's never did fire nor did the V1 alert.

Man those ZR4 sensors are extremely sensitive to lidar! They always seem to alert first in any laser encounter.

I agree. I have always found that Escort's lidar receivers are quite good.
