Default The most real test ever on the Laser Shifter ZR4/9500ci

SU,

I just finished racking up 4000 miles on the Cincinnati Microwave Laser Shifter ZR4 (as part of the Escort Passport 9500ci) against the most intense police laser enforcement I have ever seen in both Ohio and Kentucky and when used in combination with Veil G4 we got two successful jams from a rear ambush (in Kentucky), one close-range frontal assault (also in Kentucky) as well as a jam to gun in Ohio and one ~300ft punch through when I was constantly being targeted from about 1500ft and this was on a large silver metallic BMW which is a very difficult vehicle to stealth out. If the color were darker, those real-world performance numbers would certainly improve even more dramatically!

Staged tests are one thing (and I really question the authenticity of some staged targeting techniques that I have watched on other "laser jammer test" sites), but driving and putting your personal driving record at risk is another...and both of these products proved to me to provide more than enough protection from real police laser on the real highway. That's the absolute fact, my friend...and we've got some real-world in-car video to prove it!

Cincinnati Microwave has certainly done their homework on the successor to their already good Laser Shifter ZR3. It is my solemn belief that Veil G4 + the Laser Shifter ZR4 provides the highest levels of laser countermeasure performance I have yet to see in the real-world.

If the replacement Blinder Xtreme Laser Jammer series performs as suggested, then I would expect similar results with their new M25/M45 J15 version and Veil G4 as well...We'll find that answer out soon enough, my friend.

LED-based laser jammers are 'old hat?' Don't bet on it!

Both of these products are real game changers and should provide their fortunate owners with many years of trouble-free performance.

I know because I actually experienced them on the road...and putting one's own driving record and license on the line is my testament to their combined capabilities.

Some of you passionate guys speak of keeping it 'real'...We'll, no one is more 'hardcore' than I, believe you me. I keep it REAL real.

...Keep it between the lines, my friend!

Veil Guy

ok got your point but i never said the zr4 was totally crap, I just highlighted saome PT issues. I actually own a ZR3 also.

Personally for me id never use veil, I only want a jammer that jams without any other countermeasures. I aint really seen this G4 stuff but the old veil was hideous, put it on my car and removed it the next day..it didnt like my HID,s. From what I hear the G4 is better but personally I dont put anything on my car.

SU,

Cool...and I am glad we can each share our positive experiences without resorting to trashing each other or the products we choose to use...remember, at the end of the day, we are ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!!!

I totally respect your opinion about Veil G2. Building successful countermeasures (passive or active) is an incredibly difficult task. We really have tried to make Veil G4 better (in a lot of ways) in response to comments and observations like yours (and we thank you for them).

At the very least try to position your laser jammer heads as close to your headlights as close as possible because, without a doubt, whether a laser jammer is LED-based of Laser Diode based, headlight shots are killer!

Why do you think some many 'authentic' staged videos of laser jammer performance avoid headlight shots altogether or the laser operators producing their marketing videos never stay dead-on the headlights. Answer: Because they're intentionally hiding the weakness of the laser jammer that they are trying to promote, that's why. I have been in this field for many, many years (long before some of these 'newbies' or pretenders), I know what works and what doesn't, and I know bogus 'performance' videos when I see 'em. I feel awful about the unsuspecting consumer that doesn't.

Not to take anything away from your LPP experiences, mind you.

The more we can share our experiences with each other, the better and quicker we will get to the ultimate truth of what works where and how and what doesn't.

I look forward to your continuing future participation on STH!

When a group of enthusiasts get together...there's bound to be heated discussion, but as long as we can be agreeably disagreeable then the experience will the funnest for all participants and readers alike.

Welcome to the friendly radar detector forum, where our members treat one another with respect and dignity!

Sorry the video goes blurred at the end..I didnt know how to blur my plate..lol

Watch around the 1:30 mark where I do the laser gun view

YouTube - Laser Pro Park Vs ProLaser 2

I really want to get a 9500Ci but the price tag is a joke and I dont want the ZR4,s! I really wish belscort would listen to us as there is alot of people saying the same thing!

Smile Great Idea!

Veil Guy,

I will be testing the new Blinder M25 here real soon. Its a "J15" that was sent to me. You gave me a great Idea. You said most guys who do their jammer videos, never really focus on the head light shots, because they know how bad the punch-throughs can be. So on my next video, I will do Tri-pod steady shots on the new blinder M25 revision "J15". My test will be with a Ultralyte LTI 20-20 laser gun, and I will do head lights shots at 1500 feet and 300 feet. I will do the same with center mass shots. The blinder will get 3 tries at each shot. 3 center and 3 head light. The results will be recorded and I will post the video for everyone to see. I hope the Blinder does good. If I know Blinder chances are they did their homework.
