Default Redline vs Escort 9500ix

Not much content out there comparing both the escort models against one another.

My Escort 9500ix got stolen last week, broke my car window. 2 years back my Valentine 1 was stolen in the same way

Back in the market for a radar detector. Reviews for the Redline claim that it alerts about 300 feet on Ka sooner than the 9500ix.

I love the Truelock feature the 9500ix had to offer.

How much added benefit is 300 feet, especially with Insta-On (POP) ?[assuming the Redline does alert sooner as the reviews say]

IMHO, It could depend on where you live. If you are in hilly, curvy terrain, the Redline is a better choice. For GPS functionality, the ix is unmatched.

Actually the new K40 radar detector the RL100 is better then the 9500ix, it too has GPS and features the 9500ix does not have.

Look for yourself.
