So there's a guy who works in my building with an 08 Saab 9-3 Aero. He runs an RX-65, and we constantly talk about matching up his car against my Speed6. (Shouldn't be a contest...) But he's always having troubles with the Saab and it's in the shop for this, that, or some other thing.
So today I passed him in the hallway and asked if he'd gotten the car out of the shop yet.
Him: "I got the Saab pulled over!"
Me: "How bad?"
Him: "20 over. I have an RD that picks up radar 3-4 miles away, so I didn't slow down right away. Turns out he was behind me."
Oops. He thought he had plenty of time to slow down...never knew the LEO was right behind him. Never ignore your RD. I ignored an X-band signal with my old RD because I thought it was a false. Ended up with a ticket for 15-over.
Getting the RD to alert is only half the battle. Reacting correctly is just as crucial.
