| | Any downside to using a Decoy?
I just purchased a Bel STi Driver, and don't want to hand it over under any circumstance. I had my last detector confiscated about 10 years ago, and it never appeared on my driving record. I guess that's changed now.
Do any of you keep a cheapo decoy detector in the car to hand over if you are caught red-handed?
What about an empty shell? Can you hand that over, then claim in court that "this plastic box that looks radar detectorish couldn't possibly work, cuz it's empty yer honor" Do they even bother to bring the "Evidence" to court? Would they consider handing over an empty shell "obstruction"?
Just wonderin' in Ontario.
