X Band Usage
Contrary to the misinformation often stated about X-band usage, I have seen it in use in a variety of southern states, like the Carolina's and Mississippi, in addition to Jersey and Ohio.
It's good to know that it is still being used in parts of Louisiana.
Thanks for the tip!

X-band in central louisiana
i think they still use the X band because they don't have the money in a small town like this, as for laser i only seen it in use by the state police on hwy 1 coming from or going to baton rouge, also a lot of KA band in baton rouge,,,,,,
Speaking of Mansura, if you are headed south on I-49, (90 starting at LaFayette) you can expect a radar at the Washington overpass, (usually city police, right before Opelousas exit), the overpass at Broussard, (usually city police) and one or more state troopers at the Highway 88 overpass near Cade.
Hopes this helps someone. To quote Von Ryan in "Von Ryan's Express", "It's a victory if just one gets through."
