yep should be a nice unit, I have been running around with the 9500i for a few weeks and like it but its detection range is inconsistant, it will ramp up nice to K3 then BAM K9 its really weird!

Thumbs up Pre-release Escort 9500, Production Passport 9500i Ramp-up Issues

Spectre_User,

We had observed this behavior when we original reviewed both a pre-release Escort Passport 9500i and a production Escort 9500:

If you haven't seen it, please refer to:

Escort, did recently release a software update, which went a long way toward resolving the ramp-up issue.

If you haven't yet had you flash updated, you may want to consider contacting them to do so, for you:

New software updates will be released on June 1, 2008. Might be worth looking into, although the way a unit ramps up wouldn't concern me. The 9500ci is an incredible unit. Just wish they sold it in a model without the ZR4.

I was refering to the 9500i

But yeah, id love a 9500ci but no way I am buying it with the ZR4, I truely beleive that they would double sales if they seperated the zr4 and just sold the 9500ci by itself.

I also heard that the 9500ci wont work unless the zr4 is plugged in....now that sucks.
