Default Pro 78 question

Hey Everyone, new here and lots of good information. I got a question, I have a Whisler Pro 78, had it for a couple of years and it has saved me more times than I can count on both hands. Is it possible that it can be upgraded to a SE if sent in, is it just different firmware that has to be upgraded, looks like the same casing and all, and if so what would be the cost of the upgrade and would it be worth it

thanks

Default PRO78SE upgrade

Glad to hear you have had good luck with your PRO 78!
The PRO78 and the PRO78SE are completely different platforms so you'd have to buy a totally different unit. You could purchase the SE from Whistler for $152.00. Just call our toll free customer service line at 800.531.0004 Monday through Friday, 8-5 CT.

Kinda figured I would have to buy 1, just thought I would ask. I am on a tight budget as alot of us are because of the economy.
Yeah I have had real good luck with the Pro 78, only problems I was having when I was out on the open highway up north a ways I always kept getting Pulse max Ka quite often driving... it only seems to do it in certain areas, don't know if it is something up on the power poles, seems like it occurred like 2 times in a mile or so... and when I got home I was thinking it might have been due to pop mode being on, as I had it on then, so I been running with it off but have not been back up north since then to see if that was the what caused it or not, will have to make a trip up that way to check sometime, but it has been really good to me

Shutting POP off will remove the PULSE alerts that may have been caused by brief strong signals from some radar sources.

Give POP OFF combined with Filter 1 a try for a bit and see how it goes.

Will give that a try, thanks.... even with pop on in the area I am in now it does not bother, next time I head up that way I will give it a try
