What happend to these being X band?

Most intersection cameras/trackors are either K,Ka band. Do they make a X band unit on intersections?? I thought X band was no longer around? I know eufala alabama still uses a X band gun.

No No. They are all X band. X band is just not around for radar. That does not mean that it is not used for door openers ect. If there were k band like that at lights and stuff I would go crazy.

Someone brought this up somewhere though saying they had never seen it before. I didn't pay much attention to it but now that I have seen it, it made me wonder why they chose K band.

Why is it that at the traffic lights at intersections in marietta Ga do they have radar K band and photo boxes. From what I have seen its either laser with photo,or radar boxes with photo. Are we talking about the same thing here? Door openers maybe X band. But photo enforced intersections have K band radar speed measuring devices or laser.

Were talking about 2 different things. Ok you know when you go to the store and the k band sensor detects you are there and opens the door?

Ok well they have these at intersections and most people don't even know what they are for. If there is not a loop or apron in the ground to detect a car there they will but up a sensor like a dor sensor only it looks like what you see in the video. Most if not all are X band. But for some reason these were k band and they were at a crosswalk. Not even facing traffic so it's not for traffic.
