Thumbs up Blinder J11, J15 and J16 Vs Truspeed

Hats off to mhardy2288 for taking the time out of his schedule to test the different Blinder revisions against a New Laser Gun on the market, the Truspeed by Laser Tech. These videos show and prove the Blinder can handle the truspeed with ease once the heads are aligned correctly. I'm sure this video footage shut up a lot of people that seem to bash the Blinder product. Good job mhardy2288. You finally proved what I had been trying to prove all along. The blinder can JAM the truspeed!!

I don't think that many were bashing the Blinder - rather, they were very anxious for some level of proof-of-worth from Blinder, as a response to the TruSpeed.

The same situation is now taking place with the LPP.

It's a problem of the jammer maker being proactive enough to get out there, and prove to the consumer that their device works, or, if it doesn't work (which would be a point of honesty and honor, to let their end-user know that there's a problem, and they need to be careful), to tell those customers of said danger.

TSi+WRX,

Gotta disagree on this one. Those guys over at RD.net are LI Goons!! They are all about the Laser interceptor. Thats all the RD.net website is about to these guys. It doesn't matter if it was Radar Roy, leon, myself or any person testing the blinder in these videos. They will always have some excuse as to why the blinder performed so well. Its almost like they think nothing is better than the LI!!! They are a bunch of cry babies when another product can compare to their LI.

TSi+WRX neither me nor mhardy2288 have anything to prove. The blinder performs as advertised. It is not about the jammer maker being proactive and proving to the customer there product works. Thats not what these guys do.. All blinder units that are made in demark are tested before they even hit the streets to the consumer. It is not their job to put up video footage of their testing. If people are so concerned, then let them test the unit theirself.
This is where people think the total opposite. If I was a engineer for escort, and I assemble and put these products together, then I have my other techs go out and test them with each laser gun out today. Once they passed the test they are shipped. The problem is RD.net is a site about people that question every person's test. My video footage I actually show you the unit, and that the heads are level before I even start shooting. These idiots over at RD.net will question everything. I'm surprised they haven't questioned mhardy2288 on whether all of the units on both the thunderbird and SUV were only all J16's.... I mean lets face it does the tester have to take the heads off the car and show the idiots that the revision on the back says
J11??? Thats why I have a problem with RD.net. The best advice I can give mhardy2288 is stay away from RD.net.. He doesn't need approval from them.

I honestly don't see it this way.

Among the RD.net regulars are plenty of Blinder proponents - to name a few:

happya$$
crazyVOLVOrob
Stealth Stalker
category4
and, of course, myself....

But these are just the people who are most outspoken.

There are plenty of other people there who've purchased Blinders and actively use them as their primary line-of-defense.

While there is no denying that there are many who are of the "balls-out, all-out, either JTFG or nothing else" school, who currently flock to the dominating and undeniably spectacular performance of the Laser Interceptor, these same individuals are not "brand loyal" - they've consistently changed allegiances, based solely on performance.

These same members have stepped from Escort to Blinder to Lidatek to AntiLaser to Laser Pro Park to Laser Interceptor, all in pursuit of whatever is seen as "dominating," and they'll ditch a product and change allegiances as soon as something better comes to-market.

Truthfully, I don't see any blame - nor wrong - in that.

The speed-detections countermeasures hobby and industry is one of high-technology, and in as much, there will always be such technocrats, who constantly and persistently seek the-latest-and-the-greatest.

It's just the way of the game.

Honestly, in today's buyer's market, this should not be the SOP any more.

Combined with modern customer-service models, the jammer makers also need to understand that today's high-technology demands "future-proofing."

With the LIDAR makers rolling out their products one after the other, it truly is incumbent upon the jammer maker - and their product distributors and dealers/retailers - to proactively demonstrate to the consumers that their product not only does well with the known threats, but that they can respond in a timely manner to new developments, too.

It may not be what they do, today, but that level of involvement should be reviewed.

Currently, it is seen that manufacturer/distributor/dealer/retailer-submitted videos and testing data comes under intense scrutiny in the open community.

Based on past history, this, sadly, simply has to be so - and is something that will not likely change in the short-term future.

However, should this dissuade the jammer maker/distributor/dealer/retailer from making such videos?

I do not think so.

The current enthusiast/hobbyist market simply demands such "proof" in advertising.

And what's more, it demands third-party corroboration of such proof.

AntiLaser, LPP, and LI all generated tremendous hype because their respective makers and members of their retail chain demonstrated the units' capabilities.

But this hype would have died, if no independent sources were able to replicate the data. That's what happened to the Laser Star, and also, to an extent, with the Escort ZR4.

With the other devices, third-party - total independents - were able to cross-verify performance, and that kind of good publicity formed a "feedback loop,"
where the hype essentially builds on itself, in a self-propagating manner.

The hype goes viral.

And while I strongly believe that the jammer makers of today need to physically demonstrate their product's abilities, as well as their ability to respond to developing trends and threats, I also don't want to be taken too literally.

I understand what you mean, steagall, when you say that it is not the job of the engineers to demonstrate such responses. Indeed, it is their job to formulate the proper response product or evolutionary product.

But this, in and of itself, is a demonstration of the power of said jammer maker to respond to emerging threats.

Actually, that's the BEST part of RD.net - that everyone and anyone can pose such questions.

It's called "peer review," and it's a concept that promotes both open-discussion as well as spurs innovations, and also helps keep everyone honest.

Defending one's stance, proving that one's assertions carry merit and is aboveboard true, is what such open communities are all about.

Question everything - for that is the only way to insure parity as well as to seek improvement and understanding.

I firmly believe that RD.net is among the best hobbyist communities - for it is a true "acid test."

The audience - no matter what the device (if you think you [and note that I'm specifying "you," versus Blinder, for Blinder had, until the J11 debacle, always been received well there] had it hard, you should have an in-depth search there, and look at all the doubt and criticism that LI had to overcome, to be where it is today) - has always made the manufacturer run the gauntlet.

In higher learning, to get one's Ph.D. (and in many cases, similar equivalents, such as a JD or MD), one must face a Thesis Defense.

It is, quite literally, a defense of your work.

You face off against not only your own teacher and peers, but also a group of experts and the open-call community. Anyone and everyone can ask questions, and try to pick your work apart at the seams.

It's only upon the merit of one's work - its inherent truth, and one's professional and logical defense of such - that one prevails.

I see RD.net - and its good citizens - as just such a proving ground.

FWIW, I think it's commendable, the effort that mhardy has put in over on RD.net, on behalf of both Blinder and LaserMask.

He's never tried to bring down another jammer. He's never boasted that of which he cannot prove. He's never made any false claims.

And I think that, precisely, is why he continues to be accepted there as a true fellow hobbyist and enthusiast, despite his vested interests otherwise.
