GB,
I am very disapointed that you used a retired laser gun in that it makes your testing results useless. It's been said a Pro Laser 3 is a fairly easy gun to jam but that's ok because many LEO's still use it exclusively. Pro Laser 2's are no longer used and there is probably a reason they are not. (Maybe even easier to jam???) plus the pulse rates are different between the 2 and 3.
Bottom line: your testing is meaningless in 2008.
Please find a gun that represents the current laser threat out there and redo.
Well if I had $2500.00 to spend I might have gotten a more recent laser gun. Actually The Pro laser II is a much harder gun to Jam do to its almost perfect Optics. You will also find the Pro laser II was designed by laser Atlanta which is a 238 pulse per second gun. The Pro laser III was made by Laser craft and sold by kustoms. My next test is with a stalker LZ-1. Its not always the laser gun, that makes the difference here. I may do the same test and get better results in jamming against the Stalker LZ. Every jammer performs differently on every gun. Pulse rates versus Beam devergence. This all comes into play. look at GOL's last test with the Pro Laser II versus the Stalker LZ. The M40 got lower punch-throughs with the stalker LZ versus the Pro laser II. WaltBurkett look at the AntiLaser G8 laser jammer at GOL's last test for 2007. Its a all diode jammer and had high punch-throughs with the Pro Laser II but it completely jammed the Pro laser III. Newer doesn't mean the gun is always better. If you can't JTG a Pro Laser II with a all diode jammer, then going to a Ultralyte or Pro Laser III would be pointless.

I think you missed my point entirely.
People purchase laser jammers to jam police laser guns that are currently being used. Jamming laser guns of the past that have since been retired and documenting such and then calling it, Our 2008 Blinder Laser Jammer Test “, means virtually nothing. The fact that current guns that sell for $2500, (your number), should tell you something.
I think the idea to test is great, just get a gun that is a current threat or change your title to “Blinder tested well against retired laser gun”.
Thank you for clearing that up. Yes I see your point. Which gun out of the newest would you recommend testing with. The Ultralyte LR, Stalker, Pro Laser III, Pro Lite, Laser atlanta???? If you only could buy one of these for overall testing. Which do truely like Walt?
