Our 2008 Blinder Laser Jammer Test :)

Well you have two options as I see it.

You could test one of the newest guns and see if Blinder has followed the technology and will effectively work against it. Or you could pick the gun most prevalent in the area you drive. For me, I picked the ladder. I have purchased 2-M35’s and an M25 and did so wanting real world protect against the main threat I would encounter in the DFW area. So I tested against the Pro Laser 3 with Outrun.

The BMW M3 as well as my BMW K1200S did well against it. I have since sold the M3 and have a 06 Porsche 997 C4S and it already had a Passport SRX installed. (Improperly installed I should say. The jammer heads are not pointing forward but skewed along the lines of the nose resulting in them actually pointing approximately 25-30 degrees outward.) I need to fix that and then will add the M25.)
Unfortunately to fix the problem I need to remove the front bumper. That is a project for when it get a little warmer outside and following my current project, an Evolution Motorsports Supercharger install.

I have a similar thing going on with my 540, to now get at the heads, the bumper fascia has to be removed!

BTW, is you C4 living up to your expectations?

I know this would probably be too small and we're comparing apples to oranges but have you read about the impending '09 135 from Bimmer?

My next test will be with the Stalker LZ-1. I can't wait to see how my M35 Blinder holds up against this very, fast Gun. Banks county uses a stalker LZ. So if it is used in my county then, what a perfect test to compare. I'm looking to do distances at 200 feet, 500 feet, 1000 feet and yes 2000 feet. Head lights shots and center mass shots will be taken from each distance. If you have any suggesstions on targeting anything particular for my next test please let me know.

The Bimmer 135 looks to be a pretty good car. Not really in the same league though.

I really love my C4S Cab and have no complaints. Well, maybe one. I want more power. Stock it already has pretty good stats.
0-60 in 4.6 seconds
1/4 mile 12.4 seconds
Pretty amazing when you consider it has a 3.8 Liter 6-cylinder engine.

However after doing much research I have decided to get a EVOMs Supercharger installed. It goes in next week.
It is a centrifugal supercharger with a fairly low 6 PSI boost however it jumps the HP to 490 and 370 TQ.
The new run times are
0-60 in 4.1 seconds
1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds.
That puts it in 996 Turbo range yet with the low PSI boost it does not harm the engine.
Most people also upgrade the brakes but I already have the PCCB, (Ceramic) and those will stop it no problemo.

So I'm really looking forward to the new performance and then will start the Blinder install.
