^ I would think that G4 would also offer similar results, as VEIL Guy writes above.

From his IR videos, it is clear that VEIL really does attenuate IR spectrum quite effectively.

Default Veil G4 & Lasershield Combo

^ And to be clear those videos of Steve's car from the front demonstrate the actual appearance in the IR with the Lasershield and Veil in combination.

The plate numbers are completely gone (along with everything else).

The only question I have is if an LPR fails to automatically "read" a plate, will it alert to inform the person performing the "scanning" to manually enter the values?

Very good point - that was a "double bogey" hit, with both VEIL and the LaserShield, each attenuating IR, and then with their combined synergy.

But still, the results of having VEIL painted to various areas of happya$$'s car, and the IR signature immediately dropping (and remaining significantly lower than un-treated, after drying), does testify to the effectiveness of VEIL.

Enough for me to hit all of my jammer's mounting hardware, anyway!

^ That scares me, too.

As automated plate-readers become more commonplace, I also fear what will happen in my case, as I've got replica plates.

Although the computers should easily be able to read my tag, in-daylight....I cannot help but wonder if some kind of "pattern recognition" may fail.

^Perhaps it will turnout somewhat like operators of police lidar who fail to get readings, I suspect a certain percentage of "failures" will fall into the "noise" range and perhaps be ignored (perhaps this is wishful thinking).

I wouldn't expect this to happen in, say, an airport parking lot, where the desire to inventory every vehicle is much higher (due to NS issues) versus something like looking for parking violators (which is merely the issuance of a ticket).
