Veil G4 Sneak Peek (PICs)

hi guys,
So impressed with all the talk about Veil I ordered a tub of the new G4, however tonight in bar tellling my tale of receiving this today I was told I had been tricked and been sent the earlier version G2.

Not knowing the difference how do you tell? theres nothing on the packaging that states its a G4 version.

Mark, if you're just now getting your G4, and you've ordered from a reputable source such as BRD.com or RD.com, you can sleep easy, and know that it's definitely G4.

These sources ran out of G2 so long ago that it's virtually impossible for you to have been shipped "left over" G2.

But....

On the inside of the canister, G4 will include 3 (three) foam brushes, plus one fine-hair brush. G2 had only 2 foam brushes, plus the hair brush.

This determination method comes straight from the mouth of VEIL Guy himself - and should be cross-verifiable either via old posts here or, alternatively, (where I know, for sure, such a statement exists) on the RadarDetector.net VEIL sub-Forum.

As is generally the case, Allen's comments are spot on.

Trust me, G2 has long been sold out. There were several months between the selling out of G2 stock before G4 even became available to help protect users (and our trusted dealers) from such an occurrence.

One way to be absolutely certain about your G4 if it appears a bit violet. G4 is has a significantly higher level of clarity than our original G2.

Thanks for that re-assurance, its got 3 foam brushes and a 5 1/2 oz plastic pot of veil (but no fine hair brush?)

it came from www.buyradardectors.com so I was hoping it was the G4 version they were advertising but when I noticed the Beltronics 995 they supplied at the same time was a 2808 version (10 months old) I started to believe his line about old G2 being giving out.

Will get it fitted over the weekend.

If you could post some PICs of your install, I'd sure like to see how it turns out. I can then give you the ultimate confirmation by some close-ups.

We're phasing out the bristle brush, as the foams do a much better job, we believe.
