Stalkervision:

Whistler was working on a VG-2 countermeasure long before you first contemplated the idea. I should know: In 1991 I supplied the VG-2 to Whistler that they used for developing their anti-VG-2 technology.

Mine was the only privately owned VG-2 in the world at that time. And I wrote the first stories on the VG-2 to appear in U.S. auto enthusiast magazines, beginning in 1992.

For those reasons I can say with reasonable certainty that Whistler started working on the solution about a decade before you'd first heard the word "VG-2".

Maybe your right Craig. I just wish they had told me this all at the time. Would it have hurt them to send out a letter mentioning this then...

Also come to think of it they may have not hit on this particular idea before that. All the companies at the time were very heavily involved in reducing their LO signal emissions from what I had read. Whistler could just as well have been screening their detectors with the vg-2 to see if they had succeeded in this quest.

From the little that I could tell on that promotional video, the radar detector tester featured, looked like it would do the trick for you.
If I remember at the time, John Turner told me that Roy had a few of these for sale. But you're right, it offers what you're suggesting with a K, Ka & laser emitter built in. I don't know which Ka freq it was though.
