Default Veil effectiveness on silver cars, random install questions

I have a blue-silver (diamond silver) car, and I have purchased a can of Veil for it. Fortunately I don't have a front license plate, but the color of the car makes me think it would be quite reflective. Will using Veil on the head lights and fog lights be enough?
There is a moderate amount of chrome in the front of the car, would it need to be treated also?
The car has a 3M film based clear-bra, does that affect the laser reflectivity of the car?
Once applied, can veil be coated with anything to enhance its durability? Something like polyurethane perhaps? I am concerned that the high-pressure headlight washing system built into the car could remove the laser veil unexpectedly.

Thanks for any comments/info!

SheltonJ,

Particularly with light or light metallic vehicles, shape may be the overriding factor in determining ultimately how effective Veil, alone, will be.

On a pointy car like a late model Chevy Cavalier, we have heard of very good real-world experiences. On others, such as some Volvo's or a car like a late-model Chrysler 300, or an Envoy, not as good.

In these latter cases, while you will most certainly see a reduction from the maximum possible targeting distances, the amount of cloaking that Veil provides may not alone protect you when you get in typical targeting range.

In these cases, we would recommend the utilization of laser jammer and/or a black bra in combination.

What is the make and model of your vehicle?

My car is a diamond silver (silver with a blue tint) 2007 Mercedes SLK. It is quite pointy and most of the angles are away from vertical. The rather large 3 point star is angled away from vertical also, so I don't know if it will need treatment or not.

SheltonJ,

Looks very promising!

If those directional indicators on your side view mirrors are very reflective, you may want to treat those puppies as well. At a good distance, police laser may very likely strike those areas, too.

I'll be very interested to hear of your driving experiences. Please keep us posted, sir.
