Default 2006 Toyota Sienna Minivan

Good day

Has anyone successfully applied the veil to large minivan headlights. I purchased the laserveil and spent 3 hours on sunday unsuccessfully applying the product. The combination of angles and rises doesn't let gravity do its job. Any suggestions?

Well I have not applied it on a minivan. But you should be able to just dab the brush in the veil and then as you make your first streak across it will start to run just a little if at all. Then you do another horizontal strip and then another one.

There is a video of how to apply veil somewhere. When the Veil Guy gets on he can give you some better advice.

Thank you for the reply.

In your first sentence you stated you have not applied it on a minivan. Then why would you reply. If you took the time to answer this did you take the time to look at the shape of a Toyota Sienna Limited Headlight. The method you describe doesn't work, "you should be able to". Come on, this is the blind leading the blind. I have used up half the can trying desperately to create a uniform pattern. I did my wifes' 06 Toyota Avalon with perfect success. Simple one plane flat headlight assembly with just a hint of visible distortion. Simple one plane foglight with no distortion. From a distance of 3 feet or greater it is visually undetectable. Using a Palm Beach County Sheriff laser parked outside our nursery everyday as an example, the distance was reduced from 1825 feet to 831 feet on the Avalon. I know it works. It is the application that is the problem.

Tonystewart,
Is it possible to apply the veil to each "plane". Allow each plane to set up before applying to the next one? It probably would be a bear getting each plane to dry to a consistent color but it's just a thought.

TS and MC,

Our engineers are constantly working on ways to improve the coating characteristics of Veil and we are aware that some large multi-angled headlights can present some challenges for us.

I am optimistic that we will have something that will eventually do a better job for you.

If you have used an excessive amount by repeatedly trying to get something aesthetically pleasing, perhaps we can work out an arrangement when the time comes.
