what I would like to see in the v1

It really needs some real modern improvements. The display need a major revamp so much so v1 owners are putting in multcolored led's band denoters all by themselves in the detector. Even the leds to denote different bands had to be begged for for years and year before Valentine changed them!

Come on Mike V. get with the twenty first century..

Yes,

The V1 still looks like the old fuzz buster radar detectors back in the 70's, and yes I agree with you stalkervision, mike really does need to improve the V1 on design and features. But like I said, plain and simple; thats me.

Holy crap were making progress huh buddy!

What would you do to upgrade it personally?

If it was me I would make it alittle rounder, maybe smaller and alittle better in filtering out false K, and Ka signals. Maybe add in the old find those red light speeding camera features also. GPS is another option. As for the arrows, they will definetly stay. V1's sensitivty would stay the same, as you already know its better than the BELSCORT units. Other than that, I'm happy. How about you BELSCORT BOY?????

May I add some additional suggestions here to your suggestions, as well?

Those multi-colored led mods look pretty cool.
Perhaps some additional levels of "filtering" to dial back its extreme sensitivity (for certain environments)
A reset button to quickly return customized settings back to factory defaults.
Programming changes that don't require power-on recycling.
A warning/self test check to indicate faulty operation.
Band identification (frequency)
Full dark mode, without the need for remote display.
