3rd. Depending on the model of your Valentine One, you may be interested in having it checked out by Valentine Research for a "tune-up" (if its a model that has analogue temperature compensation circuitry).

The V1 is software version 3.858 and I think the Model is 1.8 (latest one with Pop mode). I had them all upgraded about 2 years ago.

C4,

I believe your V1, then, has digital temp. compensation circuitry.

Assuming you are good, in that department, I suspect you may have experienced what I have done on more than one occasion: The Escort 9500ci is so sensitive that it may be picking up additional triggers pulls.

I first observed this potential several years ago with the same antenna design that was incorporated into the first model that used it: the Beltronics STi Driver. One similar experience was also with instant-on K-band from far ahead...

Enjoy the extra warning time? I know I sure do!

Question for the Bell and Escort guys:

Do you think that Bell might add the GPS features to the STI-r or if Escort will make the 9500ci available without the Zr4 shifter option?

I know I would purchase 2 more if they were available in these configuration.

I love the remote detectors increased sensativity but think yhe need the GPS lockout features, just hate paying for the ZR4's since I won't be using them.

Anyway just an idea for the experts here.

Thanks,

Randy

Default Passport 9500ci & Shifters

Hello Category4 -

good questions - first, commenting on behalf of corporate parent, we officially do not share/preview any new product development plan(s) or pasrts thereof (as you can certainly appreciate market reactions, engineering challenges and other unsung opportunities!).

w.r.t. a passport 9500ci and (ZR4) shifters, my suggestion would be to simply (and easily) disable shifting in the user preferences if desired or required, unless i am misunderstanding your question. please let me know if this makes sense.

thanks again.
