I will be going to virginia here real soon. I have a 2001 V1 radar detector which has the following below:

Status Report on Your Valentine One
Serial Number 7782050838
V1 Description: Radar circuitry known in-house as V1.8—POP2 with Euro Mode. This is our latest and best performer on both radar and laser.

Upgrade Recommendation: You already have our best.

My question is if I go through virginia with my V1 hidden and once I encounter a radar signal from a officer, can I just slow down and turn it off so the new spectra won't detect me??? Or should I just not use it. How fast can the New RDD's detect my newest upgraded V1???
