Why this laser gun over another

Here in Texas I see a lot of Ultralytes. I do see other guns in use but not from the same department. Here in the DFW area Ultralyte has the market.

So, after talking to a few buddies and some digging around on the net I think I found out why I see one brand over another.

It seems that a lot of departments think that Kustoms lacks custer service. They also said that the Kustom Pro III is bulky and when but in the saddle bag the battery tends to come off or break. Also not very good when it gets wet though it is water resistant.

A local department here has 5 Pro Lites in use and said that 2 have already been sent back for repair. I am not sure what the issue was. The officer asked Kustoms if it was due to the conditions in the saddle bag. Heat, bumps etc. Kustoms said no.

So, that is what I heard. As like I said I don't see a lot of pro III. I do some but mostly Dallas has them.

This may not make the difference in why one gun over another, but from what I have heard, the Pro laser III guns are cheaper than the stalker or ultralyte guns. Whether thats true I do not know. Every department has their own budgets.

I had the prices last night. I forgot what they were. The new prolite is the newest and hottest thing that the departments here are getting.

The Kustom Prolite+ is about to have some company...from Lasertech (LTI).

They are just releasing a new model that should prove very appealing to mobile traffic enforcement.

The new police laser is called the LTI Truspeed.

The first police laser gun to retail for less than $2000, the LTI Truspeed should really heat things up!

Yeah I saw the video on it about 3 weeks ago. I just can't believe that it looks blue. I guess it must be real durable and easy to use.
