Cool State Troopers Vs County Cops

When it comes to the 500 foot visability law for county cops in georgia. State Troopers do not have to follow the 500 foot of visability. They can even write you a ticket for 1 MPH over the speed limit. They can hide in the woods or anywhere you cannot see them. Thats crazy. I believe as a tax payer I should have the right to voice my opinion on the corrupt schemes of the Georgia State troopers/Government. What do you think Veil Guy?

GB,

To be honest, I'd let Craig handle that question...He's had more than his share of runs-ins...The stories he could tell...

Years ago when my family took us kids on trips from Philadelphia to Florida and back on I-95 before it was completed, we went through a small town of McBee (sp?) South Carolina (or was it North Carolina), no matter, when some good 'ole boy smokey saw an out of state "Yankee" plate, well, you can guess what happened next

My father got cited for exceeding the posted limit by 1 mile an hour over the posted limit and took a cash payment of $20 for the "court" on the spot.

My sister, brother, and I were in the back seat of our station wagon playing cards and while my father was forced to sit inside to patrol car's passenger seat being "shaken down" we figured we deliver our own message...

I took a Joker out of the playing cards deck and flashed it up on our rear windshield...never new if he received our little message, but hey, at least we delivered it.

Never forget that little redneck town. Even though I-95 has long been completed, every once in a while I like to get of the major highways to drive and enjoy the back roads and countryside...I always look for that little friendly town (with BOTH eyes open).

Fast forward 40 years later and now I simply blend-in. I love the South and my heart belongs to Texas and New Mexico. I now drive around with my Cowboy hat and my two steppin' boots and I don't seem to get bothered much any more.

In truth, even though I currently live North of the M/D line, I am a direct descendant of Gen. Robert E. Lee and American Indian (even though my father is Italian)...Now that's some good blood line, son! Yeeha!

McBee is in South Carolina and is well Known to all Carolinians. When the sign says 35 you had better be going 34. The entire length of the drive is less than 4 miles (maybe even less). The officers here also seem to have new cars everytime I have to go to the Beach.

One other place that is similar to McBee is Glen Willow in Ohio. Popualtion 25

We'll to do so, we'd had to go to the county lock-up and wait for a hearing to be scheduled Lord knows only when. $20 and its done and over with. How much is your time worth?
