Default Escort Passport 9500ci: How to Install Video Manual

Escort Passport 9500ci remote radar detector fans,

As some of you know, I was fortunate to be selected by Escort to conduct a review of their new 9500ci remote using my pioneering real-world format.

But, before I could conduct a thorough review the Escort Passport 9500ci, I wanted to have it professionally installed and I didn't want to take chances with my Bimmer nor did I want to attempt a schlock installation job, myself, especially with the expensive-to-replace BMW interior components.

During a two day installation during the 21st and 22nd of May of 2008, I had my Escort Passport 9500ci professionally installed.

Given the unavoidable complexities of a proper installation job, World Wide Stereo allowed me to video their installation for the purposes of educating other professional installers who may be new to the Escort Passport 9500ci as well as DIYers interested in accomplishing a successful installation.

The video is very detailed and has a fairly long running-time, but if you are interested in learning about the ins-and-outs of a high-end installation, this instructional 9500ci installation video guide is highly recommended.

Veil Guy: Escort Passport 9500ci: How to Install Video

I hope you remote radar detector fans find this How to Install the Escort Pasport 9500ci Video Manual, illuminating!

Sorry it took me so long to actually produce the darn thing.

Between the production complexity and my extensive traveling, of late, I am afraid it couldn't have been helped.

I am still way backed up, but at least, I am beginning to crawl out from under the backlog.

I'm really interested in seeing how your install looks...

Cool

On cars w/ full plastic grills, is it okay to mount the heads behind the plastic? Or do they need to be 'cut-in'? I have seen most heads mounted behind grill plastic and people swear they work fine.

Laser head and radar head.

What do you think of this statement?

Do you think the grill blocks a great deal of the beam?
Radar is not affected by plastic however laser is somewhat so it will be interesting to see the real world performance of them. The pro installer I talked to installs behind the grill plastic.
