I had the 8500 X50 Blue, and upgraded to the 9500i Red.
I don't regret it one bit.

Performance is outstanding and has saved my A$$ several times!
Plus it REALLY is the quietest RD ever.

I lock out false signals every week which lets me hear my Howard Stern without interruption, unless there is a real radar working in the area.
Then I get an alert way before I see the trap.

I love the 9500i and only regret not getting the BLUE version because it looks cooler.

As for Lidar defense...

I researched this for at least a hundred hours.
Email, phone calls, endless web searches... and I settled on what I believe to be the best bang for the buck out there.

3 Words... LASER PRO PARK (LPP).
It's not the cheapest, but it's not the most expensive either.
It's a solid reliable mid-range price "jammer" which works amazingly.
I've tested my Benz against 3 different Lidar guns and have Jammed To Gun every time!

Take it from a guy who doesn't sell any products and until a few months ago, was completly unknowedgable re: Laser Jammers.

LPP is fantastic!!!!

Good luck.

Default Stick to your guns!

I agree with Veil Guy,
stick with your current setup. As for Jammers, Not one of these Diode jammers has the reliability of the Blinder or ZR3. You should not worry about the ZR3, it performs as advertised and like the Blinder gives you plenty of time to slow down. Add the Veil coating and your good to go.

(I have a 8500 X50 combined with the ZR3 however the more and more I read about it (ZR3) the more worried I have become. I wanted to buy the 9500i but the X50 seems to outperform it in most of the tests I have seen. There still aren't any tests on the production 9500ci (the 1800 price could be a major deterrent even if it tests very positively.) So I think I just may wait a while longer for some of the 9500i's bugs to be worked out and combine it with the new ZR4 and Veil I think that could be the winning combination what do you guys think?
I have been doing the research and it seems that the Laser Interceptor is the best jammer out there however I like the convenience of having one unit that tells me everything. please help a newbie out.)
Thanks

Do you have any links to any of these 'tests'? I find it very hard to believe that a X50 would outperform a 9500ci in any area.

Reliability eh..well ive had my LPP for nearly 2 years without a hitch! not bad eh

Dario,

Ive done some tests, the X50 and 9500i and they are simalar in performance, the 9500i has too much filtering for my liking but still performs well. The X50 still gets detected by spectre at 800mtr mark..slightly less for the 9500i
