Also makes sense if Mike Valentine started and co-invented the legendary Escort (and the original Passport) the two best detectors in their day but left to make his own unit it would make sense why Escort continues to try to strive/bash and try to be like the Valentine One. But the genuis behind the Escort company is no longer there and for that reason they will never be able to exceed that. For years Escorts were hands down the only detectors to have and now it is the Valentine. I had Escorts for years until Mike left and invented the Valentine. The range and quality clearly has dipped and never has returned. New models rarely came out back then but now it seems like they make a new unit yearly, great for profits not great for buyers.
