Truly a matter of opinion with all the gadgets that escort throws they can't decide if having a quiet detector is better than having a V1 of if finally having one that can try to compete with the V1 is the way to go not to metion the Redline now is 100 dollars more than the V1. With that in mind there are still no arrows to tell where radar lies (front, side, or behind) and still will not match the laser sensitivity of the V1 it is kind of hard to copy things when there are patents. in my opinino the v1 will remain the best for a long time and you do not have to chase new models everytime a new threat comes out or Escort just wants you to chase their latest invention. I personally don't like chasing new detectors everytime something changes not to mention highly confusing marketing. Is GPS what you need or do you want long range?? GPS gimmick is just that when it comes to detection in quite a few tests the GPS feature actually locked out real threats and all Escort models do not have FULL TIME "POP" protection you have to select the feature then the units falses like chicken little (they dont advertise that either, I wonder why??) |
