Escort 9500ci 90 day free update?

We recently bought a 9500ci. On the Escort website where you register the unit it says "DB Subscription Code: Not required during 90 day Free Update Period". I thought that all new 9500ci's get a 3 year subscription? What is the "90 day Free Update" referring to? Is it suggesting that you wait 90 days before you register for the 3 year subscription?

You still need to register, provide your 9500ci's serial number, and provide the Key Code in order to be able to download firmware and database updates. I'm not sure about this new "DB Subscription Code: Not required during 90 day Free Update Period" box.

Thank you MEM-TEK I will of course register but I'm in no hurry to update, as I hear that it causes Autolearn to function improperly. I will contact them this week and ask them about what the 90 day Free Update Period is all about. Thanks for taking the time to reply
