$1000.00 speeding tickets in Georgia :(

You have is easy in the USA.
Down here in Australia, you do 45km/h (30mph) over the posted limit and it is $2500 (US$2300) 3 month license suspension and 6 points (you get 12 every 3 years)
In some states they set the speed sCameras at +2mph threshold, so they click away at around $100 for the minimum fine.
Radar detectors are very illegal and you would get a $1000 fine and 9 points off your license.

Sounds like to me the Australian government needs to get a life. Its all about the money my friend. Corrupt cops, and corrupt government. They will do anything to get revenue..Sounds like the great state of Virginia here in the USA.

I use to live in lilburn Ga off Hwy 78 and lake lucern. I was actually bored and raised in lilburn. I kinda miss ole Snellville.
