Default Laser Jammer installation?

Hi I'm a newbie to this site, which, by the way, is great.

I have a few questions:

Do you think that professional installation of a Blinder X-treme system is necessary, or is do-it-yourself installation possible?

If professional installation is recommended, can you recommend someone in the Atlanta area?

A few people seem to say that a Blinder M25 is perfectly fine for a 4-door sedan - would you agree or do you think there is any reason to consider an M45 for your typical 4-door sedan? Do people get nailed by laser from behind?

Thank you for your input!

Default Good Questions

No you do not have to have the blinder professionally installed. Actually its not that hard to install. The owners manual shows you exactly how to hook up your blinder M-25. As for Installers I like MEGAMAXX in marietta off cobb parkway next to the big chicken. They did the install on my 2005 Honda accord sedan. As for two heads vs four heads on a sedan, in my opinion the M-25 works great on midsized and full size cars. The M-45 works the same, the only difference is 2 extra heads which can give better protection if you drive something like a 300C chrysler sedan. That car has alot more surface to cover versus a honda accord. As for laser from behind, its very, very rare if at all. 98% of officers fire at the front. You could always try 3 heads in the front and 1 head in the rear if your concerned at all. Hope I helped.

Talking Atlanta Area Testing :)

kilin111,

If you live in the atlanta area and after you install your Blinder system, Let me know. I have a Pro laser II gun if you ever want your system tested. Its pretty cool to get behind a police laser gun to see just what officers see day in and day out during traffic patrol.

Question Interested in install/testing of Veil and Blinder X-25

Hello,
I am also new to this site and I just purchased a Blinder X-25 and some Laser Veil. I would love to be able to do some before/after testing of each. The videos I have seen comparing various configurations are very interesting. I am thinking that it might be easier (I don't have a video camera) and quite useful to produce a spreadsheet with before/after comparisons. Some of the videos I have seen lead me to believe that the placement and alignment of the blinder is very critical to proper performance, and the only way to really tell is to test it.
Any recommendations on installers (if needed) near the Alpharetta/Roswell area?
I figure I can do the Veil myself, but I want to make sure the Blinder is done right. It has a Cheetah wireless kit bundled with it, which should simplify the install. Does the Cheetah hardware introduce any extra latency into the system? I work with a lot of computer stuff, much of it wireless, and have noticed that it adds a little latency here and there. If the latency is just on the announcement side, that is ok, but if it delays the systems reaction to a signal, that would be bad.

Thanks for your comments!
