STi-R is now available

Just to let eveyone know the Bel STi-R Concealed Radar Detector is now available and ready to ship.

The STi-R is an installed version of the popular Bel STi Driver. Like the Bel STi Driver, the STi-R doesn't "leak" a signal and therefore cannot be detected by any police radar detector detector (RDD) like the Spectre.

We can't wait to see so some reviews of this much anticipated model.

I am always learning something new.

I have played with this unit, its a good thing thats for sure!! And I can confirm it is Spectre IV proof.

But the main issue is still the crap ramp up, bel need to address this issue as alot of users are complaining but bel dont want to listen to us. Nothing new there!

what exactly is ramp up?

Ramp-up refers to audio/visual signal strength, as you approach a police radar source (from weak to strong).

Valentines have historically provided the most consistent ramp-ups which aids you in gauging the level or severity of the potential threat.

Thanks for the reply. I am in the market for a radar detector and am leaning towards the Bel STi Driver. The R is probably out of my price range but I am in VA so I have to take it into consideration. I wont be here for much longer, being in the military we don't stay in one place too long. i was thinking of velcro mounting it to the dash and just removing it when I go through the gate on base. Does that seem like an option?
