Wink I agree Veil Guy :)

GB,

I've been pretty fortunate myself. I have gotten off of a number of potential speeding tickets while leaving a radar detector up on the windshield, as well. I have found that simply being decent and essentially honest with the LEOs tends to positively "trump" any potential negs having a detector visible. Besides, if you are doing 25mph in excess of the PSL, then I believe the appearance of a detector is more or less a non-issue...you're damn likely to get a ticket in any event.

My argument still holds: I believe many drivers of "high-end" radar detectors are generally more attentive to their surroundings and are therefore safer drivers as a result, irrespective of speed.

I totally agree with you veil Guy, These days people with high end radar detectors seem to be more aware of their surroundings. It also shows that safer drivers as a result of driving 15 to 20 over the speed limit are not the ones causing wrecks. Its the slower drivers that are the problem. Especially BIG rigs on the highway coming over into the fast lane, with no turn signals. Thats a big problem in Ga. As for craig peterson, he means well, he's just not a big V1 fan. Thats ok we all have our favorites.
