Funny thing is my Bell has had so many "victories" I can't tell you the amount and lost track long ago but apparently for the v1 this is a big deal....
I do remember one incident though I can relate to you. Coming up to a four way stop light a crazy driver decided he just had to beat me to it. I played along and picked up my speed. On the other side of the stop light was a long hill the type Valentine shows in his adverts and brags the v1 is so good at picking up radar from. Well my Bell started to alert just after I picked up speed. I was crusing pretty good but pulled over to the left lane and let the other driver pass. Just before the light he made a real quick left and went down another road. I still hadn't seen the police car coming the other way yet at this point. The police car finally came over the hill and down the other side. He must have picked up the other speeding car's radar signal return before coming down the other side of the hill while he was out of sight of us both. Many people don't know this is possible by police radar but is inadmissable in court as the police officer can't tell who he is picking up.
Well by this time the other driver was well gone and that police officer was obviously mad as hell. I, mean while, had pulled over into the slow lane long ago but without other cars around I couldn't very well blend into traffic enough. That cop wheeled his car across the lanes and followed me down the road. He wasn't sure it was me because 1) he hadn't seen me speeding and 2} I was in the slow lane when he came over the hill.
He followed me for a bit hoping I would speed up or do something he could pull me over for probably running my plates the whole time I bet. He soon got disgusted and left me alone finally.
I would say that was another win for my Bell...

My Bell always gives me advanced warning before I see the radar cops unless it's instant on but even then I usually get warned by the previous scatter of other cars being targeted.
My v1 had a nasty little habit of losing tune at various odd times where I got to see the radar cops soon after it went off.
