Default Perhaps there is another possibility.

Stalkervision,

While I don't doubt the sincerity of your impassioned post which publicly calls into question the character of an entire organization, if not certain individuals within that organization, have you ever considered a reasoned alternative: your idea had already been thought of by individuals skilled in the art.

Trust me, patenting is a painfully arduous, expensive, and protracted process, taking many years to achieve (much of it behind the cloak of secrecy even before an application is made). Which is why I support and respect the firms and their products that have gone through this process and not respect the ones which attempt to short-cut/ignore/respect the process.

I will relay a professional experience we had when our firm began the patenting process leading to the selling and marketing of Veil.

One of our law firms were brought into a defense of (in this particular case) a baseless (for obvious reason) claim that [some] our ideas were similar/same to someone else's a (long time ago.)

It happens all the time with R&D, new product development, and patenting...that's why the USPTO is in the business they're in...to sort through all of this stuff and (hopefully) make the proper dispositions that they do (at great expense, I might add, to the underlying inventors).

Whistler has a lot of smart people working in their engineering departments (Mike, of course being one of them). To this I believe (from my own dealings with them) they operate with moral/ethical clarity and I believe those beliefs are being manifested in the current products like the Whistler Pro 78 and Whistler XTR-690.

In my review of these fine radar detectors, I described them as honest performers, because they are. I believe such products can only come from a corporate culture that has this moral/ethical clarity. This is my belief.

Forgive me stalker, but I would be surprised & disappointed, if your belief (impassioned and sincere as it may be) wasn't entirely accurate or is representative of the whole/entire story (from all sides).

There are at least two sides to every story.

At any rate, good luck with your new idea...I hope you are successful with it!

Peace be the journey...

Veil Guy
