hich part do you want first? How V1 has out performed Beltronics for year after year, or how V1's software has dominated Bel's top of the line radar detectors in 4 out of 5 testing websites including speedzones, car&driver, radarone, motortrend, should I keep going.
|
SV/ generalizations as usual. The v1 did indeed dominate radar detector tests in it's first few years but it's lead has slipped into nonexistence for more then a few years now fanboy.

Just because you pull apart radar detectors, tells me nothing. I guess you think your a engineer now right.
|
sv/ I build electronic circuits in my spare time. The Bell has very high quality surface mount technology throughout it detector line. They manage to package this technology into detectors half the size of a v1.

First of all I'm not a "fanboy"
|
Sv/ Your sure talk like one repeating valentine's advertising lines. This is always the first direct giveaway of a V1 zoombie/fanboy..

second you need need to learn how to address people when you talk..
|
SV/ Why to show the proper difference for your limited rd knowlege? You need to not be such a fanboy..

Third If you can't stand the fact that V1's in almost every radar detector testing forum/ third party testing has been kicking Beltronics butt, well too bad.
|
SV/ Again your true fanboy nature rears it's ugly head. This is hardly the truth and you know it. I believe you need to learn how to address people when you talk.

I happen to know that plastic does not hold up against heat like magnesium does.
|
SV/ Apparently that hasn't helped the v1 because craig peterson proved that heat did v1 in where the bell would reset it's self after it cooled own again and work normally.

I also know that Mike valentine was the "mind" behind escort/passport back in the day and forked off to make a radar detector that would beat both Bel and escort in performance.
|
SV/ I believe this was because of his well known toxic nature then anything else. People wanted him out. You do know he DIDN"T design the V1 don't you? Two of his head engineers are resposnsible for that yet he take total credit for the design. He also wasn't the first to use two use two antenna to find radars direction though he claims it to be. He swiped that idea and patent it under his own name is all...

Bel nor escort which are now the same company, to me in my opinion are even close to V1.

Sv/ spoken like a true fanboy/zoombie

There have been a few test recently to show that the Bel/escorts can stay head to head with the V1 in Ka and K performance.
|
SV/actually there are more then a few test where the v1 get solidly beaten in many bands..

look how long it took them. Since 1992 V1 has really had the better radar detector overall.
|
SV/ Overall? overall what? This is just the generalizations I mean...

Many will disagree, and thats fine.. But when independent testers all show the V1 picking up faster and better range, not to mention its the only radar detector to have a true front/rear antenna (window mounted that is). Then where is the Bel and escort???? Again I like both radar detectors. My V1 has out performed every Bel I have owned. Thats why I drive with the Best and nothing Less..
|
SV/ many independent tests Do NOT show the v1 is superior in any way to the newer detectors. In fact the Bells and escort detectors match or beat it now...
Steigal, I am glad you dream of nothing but your v1. Most fanboys do. It really isn't your fault so I shouldn't blame you buddy.
When you have a product developer claiming his product is "a religion" and is brain washing people's minds into buying into his nonsense can I really blame you?
It sure isn't because of the product because people can and do get tickets with the v1 all the time even when police radar and lazer is operated normally with no trickery involved. I have noticed from my own experiances and many others posts that many v1's have a real bad bad habit of "going out of tune" and need to be sent back to the factory for a retuning. Do they warn you of this? No, the first warning is when a police car pulls you over! My Bell still works like a charm and I have never needed to send it back to the factory for a retuning...ever.
I always love the posts..
"WTF did I do wrong,I was using a v1!"
Now I am going to let you go buddy. I have had similiar conversations with every V1 Zoombie out there..
"It's a religion..it doesn't just beap...it has arrows...Yada..Yada..Yada..."
