Great video! Very professional and very well done.

I especially like the fact that all the important points of placement/setup of the 9500ci's external components was discussed in-detail, and that the interior display and control placement was highlighted, too. Either one or the other is all too often ignored or receive less attention than I think it should, in various installation details.

FWIW, as an individual hobbyist, and with my own set of personal preferences and biases in-mind:

(1) I agree that a low-as-possible RADAR antenna mounting can see just as much real-world benefit as a high-as-possible (i.e. non-traditional - in-cabin, as per RacerX's Tundra, as-featured in the 2007 GOL "Shootout") setup. There's more than one fellow hobbyist/enthusiast with rather low-slung vehicles that have sung the praises of the extreme-low mounting and its capability to "see under" forward traffic that has made me a true believer. I am glad that someone with your level of experience, knowledge, and trusted/vetted status in the community has pointed out this potential advantage in a video that's intended for public consumption, which will surely help newcomers to our hobby as well as various professional or hobbyist installers.

(2) I really like where you've placed both of your interior display/control pieces:

(2a) The display's placement is one I prefer, myself. My first-line ancillary gauges (oil-pressure, vac/boost, and EGT gauges - and I have plans to move my wideband O2 there, too) are in that location, as-is the display for my H&K Drive+Play (displaced even more center-line, due to the aforementioned gauges, and angled so that the passenger can see it, too). It's a great place to "see" the information, without taking one's eyes off the road.

(2b) The remote control-gear's placement is also one I favor. I like that position as it is very, very close to my right knee, and I can instinctively, via natural proprioception, mute as well as disengage the jammer (allowing for proper "tactical disengagement," where one shuts-down jamming as fast as possible after remedial action has been taken to adjust speed) - all without unduly telegraphing any actions to the outside of the vehicle or, even more importantly, any level of distraction (once the action has been sufficiently practiced and the necessary muscle-memory achieved), which is vital for driving safety.

I've always admired your "tactical thinking," Bob - and no, I'm not saying this to kiss ass , I've been saying this for many, many moons, and routinely cite your "tactical thinking" passage from your LaserVEIL commercial site's review of the Bel STi-Driver for the consideration of my fellow automotive/driving enthusiasts in detector-banned areas. I hope that more newcomers as well as hobbyists will cue-in on this item, as I believe it to be a *necessity* of "smart speeding."

PS: You've *gotta* hardwire your GPS.

My car, a humble 2005 Subaru Legacy, while representing Subaru's first real push, in this decade, into the family-sedan/sports-sedan market, still lagged in terms of interior amenities. I was a year too early for direct iPOD/MP3 input and factory SAT-radio capabilities, as well as a year too early for integrated GPS-NAV. As such, I've got extra stuff spliced in everywhere (the previously cited Drive+Play unit integrates not only my iPOD, but also my preferred auxiliary entertainment unit, my Slacker).

I'm actually rather comforted to see a great vehicle like yours, with aftermarket devices added-on.
